Founding Partner Jan Smith will moderate the event’s Real Time Payments Workshop on Thursday, March 21.

The workshop will explain how real-time payments will transform trade and commercial payments. The benefits include improved processing and settlement, lower costs, greater visibility, and of course speed. What are banks and infrastructure providers doing to import real-time payments into the world of trade and commercial payments? Are they moving fast enough? What is the impact of open-banking and fintechs? Examples of new products and partnerships?

Jan will also be a keynote speak later in the day, presenting insights at the “Linking National Real-Time Infrastructure Together” session.  He will illustrate how central real-time infrastructure not only makes transactions more convenient for consumers, businesses, and financial service providers but also facilitates innovations by different players in the financial service space and helps countries accelerate their cashless agenda.
